About Gold Cuisine and Catering (GCC)

GCC was started in 2004 by Tim and Tracey Oorschot primarily to service contracting chef needs on the Gold Coast. The company has recently expanded to include food production. Products are currently produced in Brisbane and distributed to the South East corner of Queensland with plans to expand to other areas.

About Tim Oorschot

Tim was trained in Europe and Australia and has 28 years experience as a chef. He has worked in all facets of cuisine – fine dining, a la carte, mass production and buffet. Establishments worked in have ranged from restaurants as an apprentice, to five star resorts as a Sous Chef.

Achievements of note are:


1984 CIA Apprentice of the Year Western Australia Award – Gold Medal.
1984 Cold meat platter, Perth Royal Show – Silver Plate.
1984 Cold meat platter, Le Salon Culinaire – Merit.
1985 CIA Apprentice of the Year Western Australia Award – Gold Medal.
1985 Best stage three cooking apprentice – The J E Edgson Award.
1986 Member of Australian team to “Taste of Canada”, Toronto, Canada.
1986 Individual desserts, Taste of Canada – Gold Medal.
1991 Cold meat platter, Le Salon Culinaire – Bronze.
1992 Cold meat platter, Le Salon Culinaire – Bronze.
1994 Five course dinner menu, Salon Olympia – Gold medal.
1994 Five course dinner menu, Salon Olympia – Overall award.

Tim’s role within GCC is to develop food products and oversee their production. He also provides various hospitality solutions (see services).

About Tracey Oorschot

Tracey has vast accounting, finance, and administration experience, gained over 15 years working within various office roles.

Tracey’s role within GCC includes accounts payable/receivable, marketing and all aspects of office administration.
